Kingston Interval House is an emergency shelter. They provide services for women, children and youth who are experiencing violence. They are open 24/7, 365 days a year, and offer counselling, accommodation, clothes, toiletries, and more.

L&A Interval House

Lennox & Addington Interval House is a safe house for abused women and their children for up to 6 weeks. They provide services for those who have been abused physically, sexually, emotionally, or financially. They also provide services for those who fear that they will be assaulted. They offer counseling, crisis intervention, and safety planning.

Elder Abuse Prevention

Elder Abuse Ontario works to prevent elder abuse from happening in Ontario. They provide educational resources to the public and to professionals, they advocate for legislation that protects seniors and those at risk of elder abuse, and provide services to support victims of elder abuse and/or neglect.

Elder Law Clinic

The Elder Law Clinic provides free legal assistance to elders. Services include planning wills and powers of attorney, completing guardianship applications, or certificates of appointment. They also work in cases of elder abuse and/or neglect.

Sexual Assault Centre

The Sexual Assault Centre Kingston works to assist survivors, 14 years and older, of sexualized violence. Their services are free, confidential, and non-judgmental. Services include counselling, education and information, advocacy, and referrals.

AMHS-KLFA provides a wide range of services and programs related to mental health and addiction. In their addiction services, they provide individual and group counselling, support for families and friends of a person with an addiction concern, gambling services, services for mothers with addictions concerns, Drug Treatment Court services, and the Ministry of Transportation’s Back on Track program.

Hotel Dieu Hospital provides a detoxification service for those who are looking to detoxify from alcohol or drugs. It is a short-term, non-medical service for men and women. Services include counselling, referrals to community services, self-help groups, and other treatment programs.

KAIROS

Youth Diversion provides Kairos, which is a free counselling service for youth who are dealing with substance use personally, or with a family member. It is an outreach program that is provided in every local elementary and secondary school, as well as in group homes and alternative education sites.
